Hi. I’m Cosmo Fujiyama Ghaznavi.
I am a Japanese American facilitator, speaker, partnerships manager and learning designer based in Los Angeles. I spend my time training and coaching people to lead long-lasting change in their personal lives and organizations. I received from a BA from the College of William and Mary and a MPA from New York University’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
I currently serve as Partner of Progresive Partnerships at The Management Center, an organization advancing justice and equity in the United States by helping social justice leaders build and run equitable, sustainable, and results-driven organizations. In this role, I manage partnerships with numerous foundations, philanthropic partners and community-based organizations to expand TMC’s reach and impact. During my time at TMC, I’ve trained over 4,200 leaders to strengthen their management practices, learn to authentically give and receive feedback, and sharpen practies that address organizational inequities. Previously, I led teams at education-centered nonprofit organizations including Center for Social Impact Strategy at the University of Pennsylvania, The Future Project, Ashoka and The Governance Lab at New York University.
I also co-founded and led Students Helping Honduras (renamed to One Thousand Schools) in 2007 to improve access to quality education for youth in Honduras. My brother continues to run the organization today. Learn how to get involved here.
For nearly 20 years, I’ve designed and facilitated multi-day leadership training events with leading organizations such as Alpha at Telefonica, IDEO U, Hive Global Leaders Programs, the Unreasonable Institute’s Girl Effect Accelerator, NYU’s Reynolds Changemakers Challenge, Iceland’s Saga Summit, Ashoka Changemakers & American Express Emerging Innovators Boot Camp, and Dell Social Innovation Challenge.
I am married to Comedian, Producer, Entrepreneur Seena Ghaznavi and am a mother to two sons and a fur baby. Singing karaoke, hosting picnic parties, and eating lobster rolls at the beach fills my joy bucket anyday.
Much Love,
CFG
